Training

Capacity Development in ACSAD takes place mostly via on-the-job training; the Arab project partners work out solutions in close cooperation with short-term and long-term specialists from BGR.
While certain training activities are closely linked to the studies in the pilot areas, others are of a more general character. Training courses on different subjects have also been held, including courses for some of the project’s national partners.

• conception of field campaigns, data collection, sampling procedures and methods, in-situ measurement of water and soil parameters
• Laboratory technology & measurements, standardization of methods, quality control
• Evaluation, compilation and interpretation of data
• Conception, structures and programming of groundwater and soil databases

• Application of modern methodologies in groundwater and soil assessment with regards to protection
